Hey guys! Welcome back!! I am feeling refreshed from my recent trip. It was so great to see the sun again and get away from real life for a few days! My girlfriends and I spent the time laughing, relaxing, and, of course, drinking far too much wine!! We went to Orlando, Florida, where one of my friends’ family recently moved. We stayed with her family and were able to spend the days park hopping at the tourist attractions in the area such as Disney World and Universal Studios.
On Saturday, we all faced a variety of different conditions that lead to flights being cancelled and rescheduled, etc. Nonetheless, we all made it there and were ready for a fun few days ahead of us! We took it easy this day, as we all ended up arriving at far different times than we had originally planned.

We fit so much into this day! First, I got up and went for a little over a four mile run. It was tough abruptly running in the heat again, but made me ponder what it is like to live in the south! We went to a local brewery and tried out some tasty beers. After that, we went to the Universal waterpark, Volcano Bay. It was a blast. I hadn’t been to a waterpark in years and I had forgotten how much fun,yet exhausting, they are! We finished off the day watching the Oscars and eating chocolate!

On Monday, we headed to Universal Studios. The rides in this park are mostly virtually stimulated, which makes them seem so real to me. I always believe I am literally flying through Hogwarts or whatever the ride may be. Have you been to the Harry Potter World at this park? It is so cool and feels like you are stepping straight into the movie. If you haven’t been, definitely think about checking it out. I am anxious to go back next year because they are currently building some new parts for the Harry Potter section.

On Tuesday, we decided to eat and drink our way Epcot. This was definitely one of the most fun, and expensive, choices of the trip. I had a blast trying the different foods and drinks that the countries had to offer. I have a full blog about what we ate and drank coming up on Friday. We finished the evening off by hanging out around the fire and drinking wine and eating pizza (as if we hadn’t had enough to eat and drink that day!).

Wednesday, we made our way to Magic Kingdom. We rode rides, met characters, and, of course, ate great food! I had the chance to check out the gift shops, which are always my favorite. I like to see what they have to offer! This year I picked up a Lion King mug! For a late lunch/ early dinner, we went to Tony’s Town Square for a delicious meal. The night ended with more wine and packing up for our departure the following day. I love Disney and I am so excited to be heading back next year. I can’t wait to see the Toy Story land they are opening this summer in Hollywood Studios.

Sadly, Thursday was our last day so I caught an early flight and headed back to Pittsburgh. Truthfully, I was looking forward to heading home so I could hang out with some family and friends before heading back to school again!
