Hey guys! I am back today with a new appetizer for you guys! It is one of my personal favorites and a snack we have at almost every family function. One of my favorite parts about this recipe is the ability to make it healthier. Originally, it calls for ground beef and sour cream. I use ground chicken and greek yogurt. Read on to find the recipe!
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1 taco season packet
- 1 can of refried beans
- 1 8 oz. container of plain greek yogurt
- Fiesta blend cheese to taste
- Jarred jalepiños to taste
- Black olives to taste
- Multigrain Tostitos chips
Brown your ground chicken in a nonstick pan. Once the chicken is browned, add in the taco season packet. To make the taco meat, you can follow the instructions on the packet! Once the taco meat has cooled, add in the can of refried beans and the container of plain greek yogurt. Mix this combination well. Put the mixture into a 9×13 pan. Top it off with fiesta blend cheese to your liking, along with chopped black olives and jalepiños. Serve with multigrain Tostitos and enjoy!!
This is a great appetizer to serve at any gathering. Packed with protein, it makes it a decent food to munch on, rather than a dip filled with sour cream or mayonnaise. I hope you all enjoy this alternative!
