Game Day Nachos

Hey readers!!   You are all in for a treat with today’s new recipe!!  Throughout the football season, we eat these nachos as we are watching the games.  As a Steeler fan, I was really hoping I would get to make these for the Super Bowl, though sadly that isn’t in the cards for my team this year!  Nonetheless, my friends and I are planning a mega potluck to watch the game (especially because the Eagles made it, as many of them are from the Philadelphia area) and I am going to make these for them.  Might as well have some good food even if the team you are routing for did not make it that far!

Game Day Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • Taco season packet
  • Restaurant style nachos
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Tostitos smooth and cheesy queso

Brown your ground chicken and follow the directions on a taco season packet to make the taco meat.  I buy lettuce that is already shredded and then slice little cherry tomatoes.  You can add anything you want to these, such as onions, olives, jalapeños, etc.  We just ate them kind of boring this day.  So to make them simply line the tray with your chips, followed by one layer of cheese, one layer of meat, and then all the toppings you have decided on.  Do this one more time the same way.  Enjoy!

Be sure to let me know in the comments below if you try these nachos out! We often make these with either Holy Guacamole!!! or Dad’s Homemade Salsa and it is a delicious meal to view a football game with!

Xoxo, Kay
