4 Tips To Stay Committed To Fitness

Welcome back, readers!!  Another day, another new blog post.  As you may have read in an earlier post, I have committed to posting a new blog post everyday while I am home for my Thanksgiving break.  How was your weekend?  Are you ready for Turkey Day?

I personally love to workout.  I enjoy having something that can relax me and is an opportune study break, all at the same time.  Sometimes, staying committed to my fitness goals can be such a challenge.  I can come up with every excuse in the book; it is cold outside, I am tired, etc.  I know that I am not the only one, therefore I came up with these 4 tips to stay committed to your fitness regiment.

  1. Use the buddy system!  For me, personally, when I have someone that I am meeting at the gym, I am far less likely to ditch my gym plans.  Sometimes, I will have already gone to the gym and when my friends will invited me to join them later, it will motivate me to go back again!  I love having friends that make their physical health a priority, as I do.
  2. Take advantage of Pinterest!  Pinterest is inspiring in so many ways, so why do we not take advantage of everything it has to offer!?  I love heading to pinterest to get some healthy living inspiration!!  Be sure to go follow my board “healthy living” here for healthy motivation.  You can also check out my “food” board here for many healthy snacks and meals that are delicious!!  Some of my own recipes are even included on there!
  3. Buy new workout clothes!  When I get some cute new workout gear, it is an instant boost to my motivation.  I love workout clothes because I can wear the outfit all day and be comfortable, yet still cute.  If I am dressed for the gym when I hear off to campus or out for the day, I am definitely more inclined to go.
  4. Pick an activity that you enjoy!  I personally enjoy swimming, so I will often write myself a swimming workout, and go for the swim at the gym pool.  Enjoying the workout you are doing makes it seem like so much less of a chore.  You can always search the web to find a program to get you started easy if you haven’t done your activity of choice in awhile!

Xoxo, Kay

  1. Nice job Kaylee, keep on those workouts! I recently created a blog post entitled “Why Your Workout Isn’t Working.” based on my 20+ years in the fitness industry. Check it out if you like. I am loving your commitment to blogging. Trying to find the sort of discipline for blogging that I have for fitness. Stay fit, stay healthy 🙂
