Hey friends! Welcome back!! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I went home this weekend, which was much needed. I have been needing a break from school and going home the past two weekends was perfect. It was just the thing to get me through the next couple weeks until Thanksgiving.
On Friday, I finished classes and headed home. I had to meet with group members for a project so I did not get on the road as soon as I would have hoped, but nonetheless I was still happy to be going home. The drive was beautiful, passing through the mountains with the leaves changing. The trees were all such beautiful arrays of fall colors. When I got home, my family and I went to a local high school football game and then went out to dinner.

On Saturday, it was dreary and rainy in Pittsburgh. My Mom and I wanted to go for a walk but were not able to due to weather. Instead, we spent the day doing errands. We went to the outlets and found some serious steals. I was able to get Nike shorts and a tank top for under $20! I also got four Yankee candles for only $44! I was so excited to buy myself some nice candles. That evening we went to church and then out to dinner. At dinner, Iceburgh, the Penguins mascot, was there and, of course, my mom made me get a picture with it.
Sunday morning I got up and left to head back to school. I had hosted a retreat at my apartment back at school for the new girls in my sorority. We had a potluck and did a variety of icebreakers to help them bond closer together.
